Sailing Hats of Southern California

For many years, I was chastized, nay, ridiculed because of my various sailing hats. Mine are usually some sort of floppy sombrero that covers the ears. And, off the boat, do look pretty ridiculous. At one point, I thought I’d start a company that would manufacture hats for serious sailors. The hats would cover forehead, eyes, nose, ears, back of neck and would have a particularly unstylish neck strap. They’d look pretty funny.

The company logo would be a cat on top of a door.John and Lisa

Door Cat. Sound it out. You’ll get it.

There’s a whimsical film clip of many of my friends sailing the southern California coast in their finest sailing hats. Click this picture to fire it up.
