More specifically, this is an update on the Gull Island area, which you’ll transit going to either Morse Point or Malva Real anchorages.
According to Fagan, there’s a lot of kelp in the area. That wasn’t true for a the last few years, but as this picture shows, it is once again — and it seems to be growing fairly rapidly.
We did not investigate the area between Gull Island and the body of Santa Cruz, but from a distance, that looked pretty well choked as well.
