Hazard at Platform Gina in the Santa Barbara Channel

The sea lion rest home – actually the mooring buoy – near Platform Gina now has a 50′ floating tether. It usually streams downwind, so give the buoy a wide berth, especially under power. Photo courtesy of Dave Johnson.
