Fishing near the Channel Islands of Southern California

Published by at 09:27 under Sailing

While I’m of a mind that the best fish are those caught on a plate at Brophy Bros. Seafresh or the Spinnaker Grill, there are those who insist on killing their own dinner. If you’re in that tribe, remember all state and federal laws are in force around our islands. And, I am happy to say, we see signs of enforcement.

No worries here. I carry my own Marine Reserve with me wherever I fish. The other day at the market I saw a guy with a T-shirt that read, “Women Love Me, Fish Fear Me.” Given my experience with both of those creatures, I need one that says just the opposite.
