The boats were decorated but there was big wind and sporadic big rain. So we mostly stayed below, warmed by friendship and brandy in our eggnog.

    You know, ever since I started wearing this head gear, I’ve attracted a lot of attention. Particularly at night. Particularly from pretty girls and, of course, from the mental health authorities. They’ve given me a very nice sport coat. The sleeves are unusually long, but otherwise it’s quite stylish. I’m typing this with a pencil in my teeth as the sleeves seem to be intertwined behind me.
